Private Waimea Canyon and Kauai's South Shore Tour
This tour ventures to some of the island's most spectacular destinations, including Waimea Canyon, Kalalau Valley and the Spouting Horn. The day begins with a visit to the legendary Menehune Fishpond. After visiting Kauai Coffee Plantation with complimentary coffee tasting and a walking tour we will head to the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. With its vibrant red soil and amazing greenery, it definitely is one of the most spectacular sights on the island. After our lunch stop at the Waimea town we will drive to the South Shore of Kauai to visit the famous Spouting Horn—one of the island's most photographed spots and where ocean waves send a geyser into the air. We will see Hawaiian green sea turtles. We will try to find a Hawaiian monk seal sleeping on the beach.
We will make our first stop at the Menehune Fishpond, where you'll learn about the mythical Menehune people and discover rare features of the pond, and why this is the only fishpond in Hawaii built on a freshwater river rather than at the ocean.
Next, head to the Kauai Coffee Company, the largest coffee plantation in the country. At the visitor center, sample a wide variety of the finest local coffee.
On our journey to the Waimea Canyon we will stop at 4 beautiful lookouts (including the 800 ft. Waipo'o Waterfalls).
Your next stop is the Kalalau Valley Lookout with the incredible views (weather permitting) of the magnificent cliffs of the NaPali Coast.
Stop at Waimea town for lunch (own expense). After lunch, you're taken to Kauai's South Shore to see the Spouting Horn, see Hawaiian green turtles and possibly a Hawaiian monk seal resting on the beach.
