An eating trail of common snacks & cultural food through the old heart of kuala lumpur.
A common courtesy that perfectly showcases Malaysians preoccupation with food is when we begin greeting our acquaintances, friends and family with the phrase "Have you eaten yet?" instead of "How are you?"
Malaysia with our unique position in South East Asia as a land of diversity, is the perfect country to begin experimenting with the flavors of the region. It's tourism tagline Truly Asia embodies not only the culture but the also flavors of the Orient, with it's uses of sweet glazes, medicinal herbs, aromatic spices and exotic fruits.
Food are often stories of the common people and their environs. And it is through this approach that I hope to shed some understanding of the lifestyle of the people that made Kuala Lumpur.
