At the turn of the 20th century, NY's Lower East Side was the most crowded place on Earth. Let's walk there now. Jews arrived in what was then called New Amsterdam in the 1650's. Along our route, we will see a huge part of the history of the 20th century and how the Jewish people have helped to shape that history.
Starting from yur cruise terminal or hotel. We will travel to NY's Lower East Side and start our walk.
Katz' Deli, Thats All. A former shul that is now a residence. Candy store almost 100 years old. Tenements. Yiddish newspapers.
