The image of the city of Frankfurt is defined by the contribution of the German Jews to culture, science, politics and business. The Jewish Museum and the new Historical Museum devote themselves to the history of the Jewish communities in Frankfurt and Germany. Topics include the beginnings of the Jewish settlement in the 12th century, the struggle for social integration and the new beginnings of Jewish communities after 1945. Basic commodities, as well as cult and art objects depict everyday life and festivals in the synagogue and at home.
Frankfurt "Judengasse" Museum / Jewish Lane reopened, the archeological excavations from 1462 and a revamped new museum can be explored, the old cemetery from 1270 can be visited, the new Jewish memorial are waiting for your discovery. Highlights: The great forgotten German Jewish artist - Lotte Laserstein. Art show!
