4-hour Car & Walking Tour
On this tour we will follow the paths of Jewish remains in the city. Warsaw used to have a big Jewish community before World War II. They suffered a lot during the hard times of the War, first being squeezed into the ghetto and then being taken away by the Nazis from their homes straight to the death camp. The whole world of Jewish life in Warsaw was lost.
** This tour is not available on Saturdays. The synagogue and cemetery are closed on this day. This tour may be extended with the 2-hour visit to POLIN Museum (Museum of the History of Polish Jews). The museum is closed on Tuesdays.
We start our tour with the visit to Nozyk synagogue which is the only synagogue in Warsaw which survived World War II. Later we go to see The Wall, which separated the Jewish ghetto from the city during the War. We continue our tour to Chłodna Street where there used to be the bridge between the small and the big ghetto. We also go to see the orphanage run by Doctor Korczak before the World War II.
Our tour would not be complete without visit to the Jewish cemetery where thousands of Polish Jews were buried.
Later we continue to Umschlagplazt, which was the starting point for thousands of Polish Jews taken from Warsaw for the Death Camp in Treblinka. We finish our tour with the walk along the Rememberance Path to the Monument of the Heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto.
If you wish, we can extend this tour with the visit to the Museum of the History of the Polish Jews POLIN. In 2016, POLIN Museum won the title of the European Museum of the Year.
