Before Hitler, a third of German Jews lived in Berlin, and their traces are all over the town. A drive to the green outskirts takes us to the Wannsee Conference Villa, where the extermination of European Jews was decided, and Memorial Track 17 for the deportation trains. Otto Weidt's Workshop for the Blind Museum shows us where a family was hidden until deportation, the New Synagogue, we might visit Daniel Libeskind's astonishing Jewish Museum, the Holocaust Memorial, other options are the Topography of Terror, Old Jewish Cemetery, Jewish Girls' School, Schoeneberg Memorials.
