Explore Jewish life in Berlin, 6h tour
This city exploration focuses on many aspects of Jewish history in Berlin. Before Hitler, a third of German Jews lived in Berlin, and their traces are all over the town. We'll remember the days when Germany's elite in science and culture was Jewish in large parts, we'll remember the Nazi persecution. The visit of Otto Weidt's Workshop for the Blind shows us where a family was hidden until deportation, the New Synagogue shines with splendour, we might visit Daniel Libeskind's astonishing Jewish Museum, the Holocaust Memorial, other options are the Topography of Terror, Wannsee Conference Villa, Memorial Track 17, Old Jewish Cemetery, Jewish Girls' School, Schoeneberg Memorials. Not to be forgotten: the life of today's Berlin Jews.
