Private Warsaw Tour: Jewish Holocaust route with a private guide
In the Warsaw ghetto, divided into 2 sections (the Small Ghetto at the southern end and the Large Ghetto on the north), 450, 000 Jews were forced to live in very crowded conditions. By the time deportations to the extermination camps began, about 100, 000 residents of the Ghetto had died of starvation or disease. After the 1943 Uprising the ruins of the Ghetto were levelled, and a new residential district was built right on top of them, making the new buildings one level higher than the pre-war buildings had been.

I had the privilege of spending three very full days with Ewa, learning about Warsaw's experience in WWII. Ewa is not only a history specialist, but she is also an expert guide: intelligent, fluent in English, passionate about her subject and city, energetic and flexible. I've retained many guides in my far-flung travels, and Ewa is among the very, very best. I highly recommend this tour with Ewa!
