The Cathedral, Alcazar and the Jewish Quarter with a private guide
We will start from your hotel or apartment a nice walk around the old city center.
Our first stop will be a trip in a time machine, to the Alcazar of Sevilla. One of the oldest Royal Palaces in Europe still active. The variety of styles: Renaissance, Moorish, Baroque, Mudejar and Gothic make the tour really interesting. Popular movies or tv series have been filmed here: Kingdom of Heaven (Ridley Scott), 1492: Conquest of Paradise (Ridley Scott), and Game of Thrones season five (HBO).
Time to get lost in the Old Jewish Quarter. Here we find plenty of charming plazas and narrow streets. I hope to share with you the beautiful legend of the young Sosona and the rich smell of flowers in the Santa Cruz Square.
The end of our tour will take place in the third largest Cathedral in the world. A combination of an old muslim mosque and a christian church from the year 1434. I promise I will tell you all the truth about the tomb of Christopher Colombus - but only once we are in the church!
The tour will last three hours and we will start at your place in Sevilla. Then we would start with the Alcazar, the Royal Palace of the city. We continue with a walking tour in the old jewish quarter. At the end we will do the tour of the Cathedral. I will finish at the Giralda tower so you can climb the tower at the end.

This guide consistently receives five stars which is no surprise. We would rate Jose Alfonso (aka Sam) six stars if possible; he possesses an incredible knowledge base of Spanish history, culture, and the arts. After four hours my husband and I were worn out and totally wowed. However, in addition to a command of historical and current facts, events and personalities, Jose is extremely gracious, warm and full of life - attributes hard to measure but so important to a special day.
