See Icebergs and wildflowers on this Jasper National Park Hike
Please not that in 2018 this hike is not available until mid- August, as road work is being done by Parks Canada. This highlight hike will take you to one Jasper's true alpine jems. Real icebergs float in a turquoise lake, and the subalpine meadows can't be beat for a sumptuous riot of colour and shape.
I meet you at your accommodation if your in or near the Jasper Townsite, or we establish a place in the Jasper townsite to meet. I then go in your car to the Edith Cavell trail head (for 2017 the trailhead requires a parking permit, which I have). Then we explore the fascinating glacial forefield, the lake with icebergs, before heading up through a subalpine forest (where we will enjoy our picnic lunch) that opens up to a subalpine meadow with outstanding views and if we catch it right, amazing wildflowers. Then we head back to town together, happy and thrilled with our explorations of this special place.

Kirsten is an excellent guide! She was flexible, fun and extremely knowledgeable about the area. While doing a beautiful hike (despite the smoke from the fires) we learned a great deal about the plant and animal life of Jasper. She also gave us great advise and direction for the rest of our stay. I highly recommend Kirsten!
