UNESCO has recognized batik as the world heritage from Indonesia.
You will have the rare opportunity to learn basic batik in the well known and historical Textile Museum in Jakarta, and bring your own made batik home as a beautiful memories.
The Textile Museum itself is located in one of the most beautiful colony buildings and exhibits many beautiful textiles from around Indonesia. After learning to make batik, you will get around the Central Jakarta and visit the old city and famous port of Sunda Kelapa. The tour will drive by important city icons including Presidential palace, National Museum, Cathedral church, old Protestant Emmanuel church, Jakarta business district, grand mosque Istiqlal, parliament building many others. You surely could stop at any of the above sites for a brief visit or just for taking picture.

1100 Get around Central Jakarta: Drive by Presidential Palace, Grand mosque Istiqlal, National Monument (MONAS), Welcome Statue at the Hotel Indonesia roundabout, National Museum and other important city icons.
