Walking Tour of Jaffa and Tel Aviv: Modernity and the Ancient World
Jaffa is a snapshot of the Ottoman period of Israeli history, walk along its pleasant idyllic streets and you can feel what it was like to live in the Ottoman empire, you can still smell the smells and taste the tastes of a long gone culture and way of life.
Neve Zedek is the first Settlement in what became Tel Aviv, where Modernity touches the old world.
This tour is perfect as a part of any visit to Israel, it is great especially for shore excursions and short term visitors to Tel Aviv
We Start at the clock tower proceeding to the quay which many new arrivals first saw over 100 years ago. Then we view the Casbah and the Old City of Jaffa including the house of Simon the Tanner and breach the walls with the Army of Napoleon. After seeing Jaffa's flea market and Old Caravanserai we will finish in Neve Zedek the first neighbourhood of the new city.
