A Unique chance to enjoy acuatic wildlife at it's best!

Located 80 Km north from the City-Port of Coquimbo, Punta de Choros is a beautiful beach that belongs to the Humboldt Penguin National Reserve, that also groups a couple islands by the name of "Damas" and "Choros".
It has a population of over 15. 000 Humboldt Penguins (Spheniscus Humboldti) and it's natural predators, the Chungungos, a local sea otter (Lontra Felina), Bottlenose dolhpins (Tursiops Truncatus), Sea wolfes (Otaria Flavescens), Calderon Dolphins (Grampus Griseus) among other species.
The tour includes transportation, two and a half hours boat tour and lunch, everything on a captivating place, with turquoise waters, great climate and lots of wildlife to see and enjoy.

This will definitely become one of your closest experience with aquatic animals in its natural environment.

Itinerary

I'll pick you at the Coquimbo's Port, we will get a sight of La Serena and Coquimbo beaches, then we will inmediatly head to the town of Punta de Choros, it is an hour and a half to get there.

Once we get there, our Captain Tavo will be waiting for us, and PROVIDING CLIMATE CONDITIONS are good enough, our boat will take us to Isla Damas (90% of chances to ship, since this tour is developed mostly in summer time).

Once the ride is finished, we'll have lunch at Punta de Choros, spend some time at the beach, then we will visit a local Olive grower were we are going to have a degustation of olives and olive oil, see the cultivation and olive oil making ''the old way'', and return to Coquimbo, taking the city road to have a little glimpse of the city of La Serena before heading to the port.

Meeting Location + Tour Duration

Meeting location: I will meet you at the Coquimbo's Port Main entrance

End location: I will leave you right in the Coquimbo's port.

Duration: 8 hours

A regular tour to Isla Damas doesn't work with a reservation system. Fortunately, I have a friend who works as a certified tour boat operator, and he owns his own boat. Come ride with us :)

Transportation

Our transportation method is a Hyundai H1 2012 van, with AC, all safety belts, very clean and with a capacity of 8 people plus me and the driver. The vehicle is always checked before the tour. While on the tour place, we have to take a Boat with capacity of 12 people, for around two and a half hours, with all security measures ensured.

- Transportation by A/C van with all the security devices required.
- Admission tickets, boat tickets.

What’s Extra
