Ishkhan S.

Yerevan, Armenia

Barev Dzez! ("Hello" in armenian). Individual approach, not to be boring and showing the real Armenia - are my main values as a tour guide.

As a local armenian, I know the best places in our country - where to go, where to eat, where to rest, where mountains are :) I also prefer to show not only the usual tourist destinations but also visit village houses and families to meet real armenian culture and see how people live, try local homemade food, beverages, stay in lovely guest houses or hotels etc. These ways I'm trying to make your stay in Armenia original and unforgettable.

I know a lot of about armenian history, but I'm always trying not to give scientific history lectures. I prefer to present Armenia very easily and accessible to everybody. I also like to talk about special Armenian traditions and cultural features that you will not find anywhere else. I'm easy going, friendly and flexible guide and I think that every guest has its own interests and preferences. I'll be able to adapt to them.

A little bit about me:
I was born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia and when I was 16 I moved to Armenia with my family. I love my country, and it'll be a pleasure for me to show you my homeland. I've been in many counties, like the US, Israel, most of the countries in Europe, etc. I always try to visit 1-2 new county every year. Being a bit experienced tourits, I can tell you that Armenia is the future tourist center for its beautiful views, delicious food and affordable prices. Hurry until yet nothing has changed! (joking :) )

I'm working as a private tour guide for 3 years. So far I've received more than 300 tourists. I really like my job where I can always meet new, interesting people from all part of the world and share my knowledge about my lovely country.

I'm doing most of of my tours by my own car. TRANSPORTATION IS INCLUDED IN ALL MY PRICES. If you are more than 3 people, I can hire a private driver with minivan or minibus.

My tours usually last from 8 hours (one day) to a few days, but according to all your preferences and suggestions I can make a CUSTOMIZED TOUR that'll meet all your expectations.

I'll be happy to answer all your questions!

A Recent Review of this guide

Ishkhan is the best tour guide one can imagine. During our five days together I haven't had the impression of travelling around with a stranger but with a good friend instead. His profound knowledge about history, culture and architecture of Armenia is literally inexhaustible. Due to Ishkhans excellent English we didn't have any communication problems at all. Shortly said, because of his great performance as a guide I did have an awesome time in Armenia and will certainly return to this marvellous land.
