Enjoy magnificent lochs, mountains and castles
Leaving the Highland capital behind us, we make our first stop at Culloden Battlefield where the Jacobites made their final stand. We then visit Clava Cairns, burial chambers and standing stones dating from 4000 years ago, made famous in Outlander. After this, we proceed to Loch Ness for some photos and your chance to witness this most illusive of monsters, before taking the stunning drive to Eilean Donan Castle. After visiting here, we drive to Portree, where we shall stay overnight.
Day 2 is a flexible day where you can choose where you wish to visit and spend time. We could concentrate on North Skye, the Trotternish peninsula, making stops at the Lealt Falls, the Kilt Rock and The Quairang. Or perhaps you would rather visit Dunvegan Castle, Talisker Whisky or go walking. In the afternoon, we return to Inverness by way of the north road, making a stop at the Rogie Falls, beautiful waterfalls and forest, before returning to Inverness in the late afternoon.
