4.5 hour private tour with an optional Texas style meal, guided by your friendly space expert
This 4. 5 hour private tour gives you an extraordinary opportunity to learn about the remarkable history of space exploration guided by a real space expert. You will drive from the airport to the Johnson Space Center where NASA trains the astronauts and operates the US human space exploration programs. You will get an up close view of the Rocket Park including the massive Saturn V rocket used to send the Apollo astronauts to the moon. Your guide will explain everything you see and answer all of your questions in a way that you will easily understand. You will have the option to stop at a local area restaurant for Texas BBQ, TEX-MEX, Burgers or another food style of your choice on the way from or back to the airport.
Your guide will pick you up and drop you off at the Houston Hobby Airport (HOU) or a nearby hotel. For an additional charge, this tour can be customized for other pick up and drop off points such as the Houston Bush International Airport (IAH) or a downtown Houston hotel.
Your guide may change the order of your itinerary.
1. Pick up by private van at the airport.
2. Drive to the Rocket Park at the NASA Johnson Space Center.
3. Visit the Mercury/Redstone and Little Joe rockets.
4. Visit an actual Saturn V rocket that launched the Apollo astronauts to the moon. It's the full length of a football field… very impressive!!
5. Photo stop at the Space Shuttle. Your guide worked on this engineering marvel for 17 years.
6. Optional stop at a local area restaurant for a meal.
7. Drive back to the airport.
8. Drop off at your terminal in time to catch your next flight.
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: Meet your tour guide outside the airport baggage claim area. He will be wearing a red NASA baseball cap and a red Space Center Houston polo shirt. Pick up will be one hour after your scheduled arrival time.
End location: Your tour guide will drop you off at the airport outside your airline check in terminal about 2 hours before your scheduled departure time. The drop off time and tour itinerary may be adjusted based on your fight's scheduled departure time.
Duration: 4 hours 30 min.
Houston traffic can be heavy during rush hours. Your guide will adjust your tour itinerary and timing to make sure you arrive at the airport with adequate time to catch your flight.
2012 Chrysler Town & Country 7 passenger van (silver) or 2010 Lexus 350 sedan (white), depending on the number of guests and luggage.
The van is large enough to comfortably carry 5 guests plus 2 pieces of checked luggage per person. Extra luggage or oversized luggage may require some bags to be stored in the passenger seating area.
The sedan is large enough to comfortably carry 3 guests plus 1 piece of checked luggage per person.
Your private tour price includes the friendly, helpful services of a real space expert as your guide plus transportation in a safe, comfortable van. The tour starts with your pick up at the Houston Hobby airport (HOU), goes to the NASA Johnson Space Center Rocket Park, and ends with your drop off at the airport in time to catch your next flight. You will have the option to stop for a meal during the drive from the airport to the Rocket Park or on the drive back to the airport.

20 $USD - You will have the option to stop for a meal during the drive from the airport to the NASA Johnson Space Center or returning to the airport. Meal choices include Texas BBQ, TEX-MEX, Burgers, etc., with prices ranging from $10 to $20 per person. You will be able to pay with any major credit card or cash.
This tour visits the Rocket Park at NASA's Johnson Space Center. This tour DOES NOT include general admission tickets to the Space Center Houston. Please refer to my other more tours that include a more extensive visit to the Space Center Houston.
Your meal at the optional restaurant stop will be at your own expense. Prices are typically $10 to $20 per person. All major credit cards are accepted, along with cash ($USD).
For an additional charge, you can be picked up and dropped off at the Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). You can also add a visit to the Kemah Boardwalk area for a variety of lovely seaside restaurants and/or amusement park rides, or shopping at the huge Baybrook mall on the way back to the airport.
