Visit the City of the Lights with a private guide
Hong Kong is already a fascinating city by day - but to see the Skyline by night is a must. Watch the light show from the Avenue of Stars or enjoy the spectacular view from the Victoria Peak - these are moments you will never forget. But besides that, Hong Kong by night has so much more to offer. Just strolling through the streets and over the markets or a ride on the tram you will sense the atmosphere. You might be a business traveler, who - after a long day of meetings - wants to get to know a bit of Hong Kong and experience the city? Maybe you are on a cruise or at the Airport for a stopover and only in Hong Kong in the evening? I will show you the most important places and those who are not in your travel guide like nice restaurants and bars with a spectacular view.
Depending where you stay, we will start a walking tour through Central or Tsim Sha Tsui. You will get a feeling for the buzzling streets of Hong Kong, use the longest escalator in the world and see all the little streets and the famous restaurant area of SOHO and Lan Kwai Fong, local art galleries, little shops, old temples and street markets. A great mix between old and new. The old Peak Tram will bring us in a short ride up to the Victoria Peak where you can enjoy a breathtaking view on Hong Kong Island, the Victoria Harbour, Kowloon Peninsula and millions of lights. We will watch the wonderful light show "Symphony of the Lights" and of course take a ride with the famous Star Ferry. If you are in Hong Kong only for a short stay on a stopover or business trip, this will give you a good overview of the most famous spots and the probably best skyline in the world.

Hong Kong is an easy place to travel and the best way to get to know city is by walking or public transport. Nevertheless, a private limousine can be arranged. Public transport is probably the best system in the world: efficient, clean and safe. Be prepared for hot and humid weather from April to October and remember to wear appropriate clothing. Despite the hot temperatures - please bring along a scarf or a jacket as the aircondition tends to be quite chilly.
A "once in your lifetime" experience of visiting and get to know Hong Kong. All my knowledge and passion about this wonderful city, its people and places.
Traveling is a very personal matter and everybody has different expectations and preferences. Your holidays are supposed to be the most precious time of the year. Time out, relax, new places, new horizons, new perspectives. Meet new people and make new friends and share this time with your family, friends and loved ones.
I am very happy to customize your tour in advance, based on your interests and timetable. Please let me know what are you interested in, what you like and what not and I prepare your tour. You can select parts of all my suggested tours and I will design your personal Hong Kong tour.
And if your change your mind during the tour…or the weather is not suitable for the original plan (it maybe not so much fun to be on the Victoria Peak when we have heavy rainfall ..) I am flexible to amend the program at any time.
Estimated Local Cash Needed
400 HK $ - 400 Hong Kong Dollar - Cash expenses will cover basic transport, food and shopping. Most shops and restaurants accept credit cards but many local markets and smaller local restaurants are cash only. Taxi fares are affordable. The first 2 km are charged at 16 HKG (2 US $). The restaurant bills include 10% service charge. So you are not expected to pay tips. Of course, depending on your personal preferences your cash need may vary. There are ATM machines in many places where you can get cash.
Please note that food, drinks, souvenirs, transport cost are not included.Entrance fees (if any) into museums, parks etc. are not covered as well. These costs are usually minimal and in many cases free. Public transport includes taxi's, buses, mini buses, ferries, trams, The Peak Tram, The MTR, Airport Express etc..The prices are very moderate.
One of the best and most convenient things Hong Kong has to offer is the OCTOPUS CARD. This is a cash card which will cost 150 HK$ including a refundable deposit of 50 HK$. This card can be used for any public transport (except Taxi's) and pay at Convenience stores like SevenEleven and Circle K, Supermarkets, Starbucks, Pacific Coffee, McDonalds etc. This will save you a lot of time and hassle in carrying coins or buying single tickets for the MTR etc.
I have no private car in Hong Kong, but I can arrange for a limousine or mini van and a local driver.
