I'm an enthusiast who's born and raised in Hong Kong. I went to university in Canada and moved back home to launch my career as a professional tour guide in the city that I call home for the past 26 years.
Here's what you can expect from my tours: You get an experience that you'll never be able to find on your own and things that are not mentioned in travel guidebooks.
I take curious travellers out to lesser-known neighbourhoods, local restaurants, hole-in-the-walls in Hong Kong that are similar to what Anthony Bourdain would visit on his travel shows! My tours steer away from touristy crowds and focus on showcasing what makes Hong Kong so unique and how my city has changed from the colonial days to the modern era that we're living in right now. A lot of places with history and traditional craftsmanship are slowly fading away in Hong Kong, and I hope to share these amazing pieces of Hong Kong with my guests during their trips in the city that I call home.
As a classic ENFP, I thrive on connecting with others. I've built relationships with small local business owners over the years and I love taking my guests to their shops so they could learn more about their stories of everyday's life in Hong Kong.
Having grown up in Hong Kong and studied abroad, I also love sharing my unique take on the difference between Chinese and Western culture on my tours.
I've recently been featured on Channel 4's Travel Man (Season 5, Christmas Special episode) with Hollywood actor Jon Hamm and Richard Ayoade and my tour will be featured on an American travel show called Painting In The Town With Eric Dowdle in winter 2018.
