Byzantine church-traditional village with handicrafts-organic farm-picturesque Agios Nikolaos town
From the Agios Nikoloas port a short drive will bring us to the Byzantine church with the best preserved frescoes from 14th century.
Our next stop will be at the nearby traditional village. There we will have a stroll to absorb the flavour of the village and its handicrafts.
On the way back to the Agios Nikolaos town we will visit an organic farm. There we will walk through its garden to get familiar with Cretan herbs and plants, used in natural products, which are presented in a museum shop.
At Agios Nikolaos we will walk around its picturesque streets with (optional) stop at the taverna by the Lake (the symbol of the town) to enjoy the local dishes or snacks / meze.
