Your private tour to the most important sights of Berlin
Visiting the highlights is the best way to get to know the city - particularly if this is your first time in Berlin. The story of Berlin goes back over 800 years. It is filled with fierce battles and wars and populated by outstanding personalities. The city has had its share in the dark and the bright chapters of the 19th and 20th century and more than once it was the center point of world history. By touring the city center and its highlights by foot or in a car you will get a good overview of Berlin's long and colorful history.
We will touch on all important parts of Berlin history from the times when margraves ruled the territory and Prussian times which saw Berlin rising to the capital of the German Empire, from the era of the Weimarer Republic to the dark times of the Third Reich, and see how Berlin was rebuilt after the war, where the Berlin wall was and what has changed since the reunification in 1990.
Sites we can visit on the tour depending on your interests:
Bebelplatz (book burnings)
Unter den Linden
Red town hall

My daughter and I had long intended to visit Berlin and the only date possible was two wet days in January 2019. But the experience was wonderful, courtesy of Berlin itself and our excellent guide, Arja. Perfect English, deep understanding of German /Prussian history, enthusiasm, realism and energy made her a superb guide and companion. To hold all that history / experience and convey it with humanity is a rare talent. It's her vocation. Warmly recommend Arja to any Berlin visitor.
