Highlights at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum
This is one of the three most important museums in Madrid located in the "Art Walk" of the city.
It was a private collection (collected by the Baron Thyssen Bornemisza) that was adquired by the Spanish Crown in 1992.
By visiting this magnificient collection, we will find ourselves travelling through the Art History: from the primitive Masters from Italian and Flemish and German School, until the second half of the XX century: Van Eyck, Antonello da Messina, Tizian, El Greco, Canaletto, Rembrandt, Rubens, Degas, Renoir, Pissarro, expressionist painters. . . . . . A must for art lovers.
I suggest the meeting point at the museum to save time.
We would focus the tour on the 2 upper floors of the museum. (there are 3 floors) (Old masters and evolutaion of painting until the end of XIX century with the impresionist and post-impresionist painters)
