Two Day Cultural Program in Havana
Havana is the cultural center of the island with important events such as The International Ballet Festival, the Latin-American New Cinema Festival, Jazz Plaza, Visual Arts Biennale and The International Book Fair. Contemporary Havana can essentially be described as three cities in one: Old Havana, Vedado, and the newer suburban districts.
The city attracts over a million tourists annually and Cuban nights are responsible for a big part of it, because of the diversity of clubs and cabarets in the city. The local music and dancing are always reason enough to celebrate; Son, Salsa and Rumba… all colorful elements that compose our daily life.

I traveled to Cuba under an art grant. As I don't speak Spanish, I knew I had to have a translator and guide. I emailed with Ela V. for several weeks before the trip. Very good communicator. 1. Very good English 2. Watched out for us- our safety, happiness, etc Asked us what we wanted. Flexible. 3. Proactively worked to find what we needed. She got us into several places with her contacts I would not have been able to get. 4. Kind, sweet, always felt safe wherever. 5. Punctual 6. Knowledgeable
