(It means, nice to meet you. ) I was born and raised here in Havana, and studied Literature, Linguistics and Languages at the University of Havana. I have been working as an art curator for the last year and am passionate about developing Cuba's community based art movement. Since starting university I have traveled throughout Cuba in my free time. During the past six years I have had the opportunity to get to know almost every part of the beautiful island where I live.
I love my country and my traveling experiences. My goal is to present my personal, local view of Cuba in order to create an unforgettable and alternative experience for each of you. I'll pass on all the information I know, from both sides: the most famous tourist attractions alongside the realities of the most local atmospheres on the island. I hope to lead people who do not want to feel like tourists in a foreign country, but rather hope to find authentic spaces and enjoy as the locals do.
On my tours, you will have not only a personal guide but also a local travel mate sharing his knowledge and visions about Cuba -- its culture, history and reality. In addition to what I share I will be hoping for you all to share some of your life experiences and vision with me! This will not be a monologue in which the guide speaks while the travelers only listen. What I hope for these tours is that we will get closer to the country together through dialogue and casual debates alongside historical, cultural and recreational activities.
A Recent Review of this guide
Reynier was great. Showed us a wide range of Havana sights, and was very knowledgeable about the history and current events of Havana. A very personable guide and was very accommodating to our preferences. We Highly recommend this guide and tour!
