Come with me - if you dare - to see New York's most haunted spots!
New York has been called one of the most haunted cities in the world, and with good reason. There are four-hundred-plus years of history packed into this great city, much of it glorious but a great number of our residents met with unfortunate and sometimes grisly demise. Their untimely ends have led to more than a few legends and tales of the otherwordly. I will bring you on a tour of what are said to be the most haunted buildings in town. We've got ethereal authors, pesky poltergeists, creepy colonials, phantom flappers, and even a mysterious mayor or two. And hey, if a skeptic you remain, a lot of these locales are open to the public, so by all means, check them out yourself if you think you ain't afraid of no ghost. You might just learn something too!
I believe in delivering a superior product at the best price. My reviews show guests are always happy. Book your NYC tour with me and you'll be pleased too.
We'll meet at the north entrance of Washington Square Park under the grand arch. We'll take the time to walk around the park and give you a feel for the neighborhood.
Settled during colonial times Greenwich Village gets its name because it was a village in the woods north of what then a tiny New York City. The centerpiece of Greenwich Village is Washington Square Park but its idyllic appearance betrays the fact it was once a Potter's Field and is estimated to have 20, 000 bodies beneath it. It is also home to the Hangman's Elm, said to be the site of public hangings into the 19th Century. And we're just warming up there! We'll also see in addition to others:
The Edgar Allan Poe House
NYU Haunted Dorm
Triangle Shirtwaist Fire Site
The House of Death
Jefferson Market Courthouse Woman's Prison Site
The Haunted Firehouse
I will give you history and stories while adding a very personal touch to your tour.
