Fushimi Inari and Zen garden, Gion
Kyoto is the heart of Japanese history and culture since it was the ancient capital of Japan from the late 8th century until the late 19th century.
I would like to introduce you the places that include the wide varieties of culture as following.
Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine famous for its thousands of red gates.
This shrine is one of the most popular shrines in Japan. Since the whole mountain is the object of worship, it is the perfect place to know and feel about Shintoism.
My favorite Zen garden
Among so many Zen gardens in Kyoto, I will show you my favorite one, Kenninji temple located in Gion. It has several kinds of Japanese gardens and tea house.
Gion district with feeling of a scene out of old Japan
Gion is one of the five flower districts in Kyoto. It is the best place to know about Geisha, the entertainer who keeps alive traditional culture.
