Discover the spectacular Montmorency Falls and the Orleans Island, a foodie's paradise
With a true european feeling, Quebec City has a rich culture still very authentic, especially in the countryside. This tour starts with a quick stroll through Old Quebec on our way to the countryside, located very close by.
Then, our visit of the Orleans island will make you discover some old heritage houses of the 17th and 18th century, family owned businesses and beautiful sceneries. The island is especially known for its strawberries, apples, wines and chocolate!
We will finally discover the Parc-de-la-Chute-Montmorency: the most spectacular falls in the province, one and a half times higher than Niagara Falls. You will enjoy the outstanding view from the top overlooking the St. Lawrence River or from the bottom, facing the power and beauty of the waterfall.
Our day starts with a quick driving tour through Old Quebec for about 20 to 30 minutes.
Then, for about an hour, we will explore the Montmorency Falls area (top and/or bottom) where you will have the chance to discover great sceneries of the countryside, the suspension bridge and the beautiful manor that was once owned by Prince Edward, Duke of Kent.
Finally, we will spend the remaining time (2 to 2h30) visiting the cradle of the French civilization, the Orleans Island, where we will sample some of the local products (wines, hard ciders, blackcurrant liquors and derived products, fresh fruits. . . ) The samplings at 3 selected places according to your taste are included in the tour price.
We will end back where we started or anywhere downtown Quebec City that will be more convenient for you.
The order of our stops will be determined according to the timing and pace of the tour.
