Once you visit Guayaquil... You'll love her.
Guayaquil is Ecuador's main port and the country's largest city with a population of three and a half million. It's also known as the "Gateway to the Galapagos Islands".
All flights going to the Galapagos islands depart exclusively from Guayaquil and also return to Guayaquil first, which offers travelers the opportunity to explore the city and its surroundings.
This tropical city, located along the Guayas River, is the financial and commercial center of the country.
Perfect for first-time visitors, this tour provides a comprehensive visit of the main highlights of the city, including the "Old town Guayaquil" neighborhood, Santa Ana Hill and the Malecon.
The basic City Tour schedule includes the following attractions:
CATHEDRAL of Guayaquil.
SEMINARY PARK (also known as the Park of the Iguanas).
MALECON 2000 Riverfront Park.
LA ROTONDA MONUMENT Homage to south American heroes Simón Bolívar and José San Martín.
"LAS PEÑAS" NEIGHBORHOOD The neighborhood "Old town Guayaquil".
SANTA ANA HILL place where the city was founded.
But then, there will always be additional visits depending on the group's particular interests
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: Pick-up will normally be at Hotel.
Participants will recognise me easily because I'll be around the lobby near the concierge's desk, wearing my traditional "panama hat" (actually exclusively made here in Ecuador).
End location: Drop-off is always at participants' hotel.
Duration: 3 hours 30 min.
3.30' to 4 hours. This is a tailor-made tour, there is a basic schedule and main attractions to see in Guayaquil, but there will always be a little difference depending on the main interests of the participants.
We'll do the tour in a Hyundai H1 mini-van for 6.
This tour includes my expert guidance plus transportation.
There are no extra charges if the tour takes longer because the group is having fun and simply want to have a longer tour. My philosophy is that we are "walking around as friends" so, time is not a limit on my side.
Estimated Local Cash Needed
100 U.S. DOLLARS - There are a couple of places where the participants will visit Souvenir shops, and also there's a half way "coffee stop" along the tour.

If the group is larger than 4 participants, please ask for a quotation and in that case I'll provide a larger vehicle.
As a licensed guide, I have no restrictions.
I focus 100% in sharing my country with the participants of my tours. That is why I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver. Not applicable in the Galapagos islands

Eddie was spectacular and very knowledgeable. He gave us history as well as what was happening in the area now. We totally enjoyed it. The chocolate farm was great, but don't forget your bug spray. Thanks for a wonderful day.
