Mafy I.

Guayaquil, Guayas, Ecuador

Hi I'm Mafy, welcome to Guayaquil! I am a native Guayaquileña and I have been a tour guide for more than 7 years.

Guiding is one of my biggest passions and it has become a big part of who I am. As a people person I love to show travelers around on tours in my city and Ecuador in general. I have experience leading travelers in historical tours, nature and wildlife tours, multi sports tours, etc.

I have always been interested in nature and history and even though originally I was going on a different direction than Tourism, almost by accident I helped a tour guide on one of his tours when I was 16 years old. I completely enjoyed the experience and decided to be a tour guide myself. So later on I majored in Tourism at the University and took courses in Philosophy and Cultural Tourism abroad, which gave me a whole new perspective about travelers. So my goal is for you to enjoy your time traveling but also to make it a genuine learning experience so that when you go back home, you'll not only have good memories of Ecuador but also go back with deeper knowledge.

Ecuador is blessed with an incredible mega biodiversity and Guayaquil is not an exception. In most tours we will combine both culture and nature attractions, so you can enjoy nature and discover the highlights and the places where locals hang around, in order to have a better understanding of Guayaquil and the history beneath its places.

I will be more than happy to show you around my beloved city. Feel free to get in touch and we can work out the details to make your vacation in Guayaquil and Ecuador a great time!

See you soon in Guayaquil!

A Recent Review of this guide

Mafy was very well informed and qualified. She was adept at assessing our interests and adjusting her itinerary and activities. So, although we had a capable and friendly driver, we spent most of our time on a walking tour from City Center along the Malecon Riverwalk (especially the gardens) through the historical districts of Santa Ana and Las Pinas and back to our starting point. A bonus - lunch in the courtyard of the restored Hotel Del Parque in the relatively new historical park near airport.

I am not a driver but I arrange private transportation for every tour.

I cannot pick you up from the port but I can meet you at the gate and walk to the vehicle.
