Visit to green tea farm, sake brewery, shrine and Mt. Fuji world heritage center
Mt. Fuji can be enjoyed not only by climbing it but by visiting places around it.
Local people have been blessed with abundant pure groundwater from Mt. Fuji. An example of this is sake, where the taste depends on the purity of the water used.
Our visits include a sake brewery including tasting some. And we'll visit a green tea farm as well. Shizuoka is the biggest tea producer in Japan. Depending on the weather, the view of tea fields in front of Mt. Fuji is spectacular to see. Enjoy a magnificent view over a cup of tea!
The tour also includes visiting Mt. Fuji World Heritage Center, Shizuoka, which has just opened in December 2017. The facility is worthy to visit and gives us experience as if we are climbing, and the opportunity to deepen understanding of the mountain. Fujinomiya Sengen shrine nearby is one of the designated components of the heritage sites with the goddess of Mt. Fuji enshrined.
Let's explore the source of Japanese culture!

Wonderful day tour with Hiroyo! What can be better than spending the morning picking tea leaves and having tea with a local tea farmer, the early afternoon at the Mt.Fuji Cultural Heritage Center and late afternoon taking a tour of a 200 year old sake brewery? Thank you Hiroyo for introducing us to the customs, traditions and culture of Japan! We will try to live until 108 drinking Emiko's green tea :-).
