Experience the spectacular powder white sand beaches with crystal clear turquoise waters!!

The East End of our island has the most exquisite pristine beaches with awesome views and a myriad of colours of our warm ocean waters ranging from light to deeper greens, turquoise blues and darker blues bordered by powder white fine sand.

Visit the Lucayan National Park which has one of the longest explored and chartered underwater cavern systems in the world. We will have our picnic lunch on the most beautiful Gold Rock beach at the Lucayan National Park and explore their world famous caves.

In addition, we will call on several native settlements, each with its own unique sites and cultural experiences.

At "Ol Freetown Farm" learn about native Bahamian fruits, vegetables and animals. Visit High Rock, home of the famous High Rock Lighthouse.

This tour is priced for 2 people. I can accommodate up to 4 persons and will create a customized daytrip for you upon request.

Itinerary

This day trip starts at Port Lucaya Marketplace where you can find a great local souvenir to take back with you.

We then travel to Taino Beach, our main park where we host all of our events and major festivities. We travel through our small settlements of Smith's Point, home of the famous fish fry and Millionaire's Row.

We will then stop at the Ole Freetown Farm where you will enjoy fresh coconut water straight out of its shell.

After the farm, we will then go to the Lucayan National Park and visit the caves, Ben's Cave & Burial Mound.

We will then have our picnic lunch at Gold Rock Beach at the Lucayan National Park. You will have as much time as you want to enjoy the beauty of this magnificent beach.

After the Park, we will travel along the coast visiting other seaside settlements including High Rock, home of the famous Lighthouse Chapel and Bishop's on the beach at High Rock. You will enjoy having a cold High Rock beer after a fun filled day exploring the most beautiful beaches on Grand Bahama.

Entrance fee for the Lucayan National Park

Picnic lunch on Gold Rock Beach at the Lucayan National Park
This consists of local fresh fruit in season, homemade Bahamian bread with various spreads, cold cuts and sliced cheese, lettuce and tomato to make your own sandwiches. Dessert are all home made local tarts, coconut and pineapple.

Estimated Local Cash Needed

30 BD - You may want to purchase food, drinks and souvenirs at the various stops so please be sure to bring along extra cash for any personal purchases or expenses.

My recommendation is to take at least $30 per person. The Bahamian dollar and the US dollar are at par. They are equal value, dollar for dollar. Both US and Bahamian currency is used and interchanged throughout the Bahama Islands.

What’s Extra

Other: You should take along extra cash for any personal purchases or expenses.

At the Ole Freetown Farm they sell fresh pressed sugar cane juice and coconut water right out of the shell.
At Bishops in High Rock, he is famous for his cracked conch dish and serves High Rock beer named after this settlement. This beer was created at the Bahamian Brewery. Most persons love a cold beer at the end of our very hot days in Grand Bahama.

Restrictions

I am a fully licensed guide, and have no restrictions.

A Recent Review of this tour

Hida made our trip amazing. All the best that the Grand Bahamas had to offer was at our finger tips. We sampled great local cusine from fancy resturants to conk right from the fisherman's boat. The sighs were incredible and she offered surprises and personal touches throughout our trip. We love Hida! Highly recommend!!!
