Gothic and Deco Bombay
Mumbai is the worlds capitol of Gothic architecture and has the second largest collection of Art Deco buildings after Miami.
Mumbai's architectural style is a mix of its varied historical influences from the Moguls to the British with strong showing of Islamic, Portuguese, Gujrati, and Maharashtrian buildings.
There is a concentration of 25 plus buildings from the Gateway of India to Crawford market that catalog the city's journey from the time it was a fortress to the mega metropolis it is today.
We will stroll in the Bombay Gothic enclave, visit many Indo Sarascenic buildings and enjoy the beautiful Art Deco buildings around Oval Maidan.
Your day of discovery will include Gateway of India, Taj Mahal Hotel, The Royal Bombay Yacht Club, Victoria Terminus Station, David Sassoon Library, Watson's Hotel, Flora Fountain, Bombay High Court, Mumbai University, Eros Cinema, Asiatic Library, St. Thomas Cathedral, General Post Office, Prince of Wales Museum, the Gothic district, the Deco neighborhood and more.
