During this walking tour I will show you the essential parts of Gothenburg city centre.
Founded in the beginning of the 17th century as a trading centre, Gothenburg has always kept its international and friendly atmosphere. Lots of green parks and waterfront location, gives the town a relaxing spirit. At the Göta Square, the culture centre of the town, the National Symphony Orchestra is performing in the Concert Hall. Here are also the Art Museum and City Theatre. The famous amusement park Liseberg is open April - September every year (too far to walk during a two hours walking tour). Ullevi Sport Stadium is not only hosting big sport events, but also open air concerts. Along the quay, close to the Opera, you find the Maritime Centre of Gothenburg, - the biggest swimming ship museum in the world. Along the parade street, the Avenue, you find many nice restaurants, cafes and pubs.

Meeting location: I will meet you at the statue of king Gustav II Adolf, Gustav Adolf Square, city centre of Gothenburg. I will wear my guide bagde.
End location: The tour will end in the city centre.
Duration: 2 hours
This is a walking tour through the city centre of Gothenburg. It's possible to expand the tour, using either public transportation, taxi or private car. This tour is not suitable for cruise ships passengers, when docking at Arendal or Frihamnen, where the big cruise ships dock.
Guided walking tour. No transportation included. There are no entrance fees during this tour.
