Discovering the city of Glasgow and Loch Lomond with a private guide.
On leaving Greenock we make our way towards the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond to the pretty conservation village of Luss. Here we stop for some spectacular photographs of Ben Lomond and you have the option to take a sail on the Loch.
As we head to Glasgow there is the opportunity to visit "Antartex Village" which offers a superb selection of woolens and cashmere at value prices, before calling in at Balmaha on the east side of the loch.
The Glasgow City Tour covers more than thirty points of interest. Our tour begins at Glasgow Cathedral and traveling through the Merchant City to Glasgow Cross, we move into the old medieval part of town and Glasgow Green. Here we visit the People's Palace and see the Victoria Fountain, the world's largest terracotta fountain. Traveling along the banks of the River Clyde, the modern architecture of the Science Centre and Riverside Museum comes into view. Continuing through the "West End" we see the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, and Glasgow University.
This tour offers both an outstanding opportunity to embrace the history, architecture and heritage of Glasgow and the River Clyde, combined with a scenic experience of Loch Lomond and the beautiful surrounding countryside. The City of Glasgow tour includes a stop at Glasgow Green. Here we visit the People's Palace and see the Victoria Fountain, the world's largest terracotta fountain. Our drive through the "West End" takes us past Glasgow University before stopping to visit Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.

George is delightful. He thoroughly enjoys being a tour guide and sharing his knowledge about the city he loves, the history of Scotland and his interest in art with visitors. It rained periodically and George went to great lengths to ensure our comfort. Despite the gloomy weather our day with George was a lot of fun. He listened to what we wanted to do and see, and made sure to include all our "wants." We highly recommend him.
