Dive into the history of WWII
On this tour I will take you back in time into the history of WW II. Places where the traces of the war are still visible like the memorials, cemetery and bunkers.
We start at the fortress of Eben Emael in Belgium 6 km from Maastricht. Here the history comes to live. This was the biggest en strongest fortifications in Europe. An immense underground complex with barracks for 1200 soldiers, galeries and bunkers. We will learn al about the secret and innovative German plans for the attack of the fortress.
After that we will visit caves that also have been used during WWII. Caves where a great hiding place and shelter during the war for citizens and soldiers. Experience yourself how it must have been like t hide underground
We will be driving through the beautiful country side with it hills to Margraten. There we will visit the Largest American cemetery. The final resting place of more the 5000 Americans who gave their life in World War II. This impresive place leaves you without words.
