Doris expertly guided my son and me on an enjoyable, educational afternoon discovering the treasures of Ghent. From the painting she showed us of the original small settlement on the bank of the river (now mostly gone), to the impressive UNESCO heritage historical center, to the modern buildings scattered around the city, we got a good grasp of the story of Ghent and it's people. Doris prepared us well to experience the powerful Ghent Altarpiece and put it into its historic setting.
