Traveling was not what I learned in my childhood, entrepreneurial spirit and the interest in culture & music I did get from home. "You are a bridge-builder between diverse people", that's how a good friend of mine once told me. I believe this is an appropriate description of myself. Looking for beauty in people, music, culture and nature is my ambition, my passion. Being on the road I find more interesting than the end goal itself. As the famous scientist Einstein ever pretended: "logic takes you from A to B, imagination takes you everywhere.
I studied economics & public relations at the Hogeschool Gent and I ended up by chance in the travel industry during 40 years. First as an employee of Jest (Youth- and Student tourism) - later as an independent travel organizer where I had the opportunity to travel to all continents. After my travel career I took one year off whilst guiding different parties in & around Ghent and also following a training as a travel guide. Today I like to share my experience and knowledge as a guide for interested travelers from all nationalities.
Born and raised in the Ghent area, I am also fascinated by other regions and cultures. As you can read I limit my tours to maximum 10 guests in order to provide you with a personal and professional service. My goal is not just to teach but to reach you.
Both the walking and cycling tours are suitable for participants with a normal physical condition. For the cycling tours we will rent city- and/or e-bikes or race bikes of good quality.
Bonus! Once you have booked a tour with me and you stay longer in the Ghent area, you are welcome to contact me for additional travel advice.

Though I am able to guide you to the most important monuments, I will not guide you inside musea as this requires much more time. You may explore musea before or after my tour individually, or for a group I can arrange a museum guide (on request)!
