Tastes of the local genuine cuisine
Genoa is a seaside city, but the influence of the countryside and of the rustic products of the land has always had a fundamental role for the local dishes and typical recipes. Between the narrow alleys there are still many shops selling pesto, focaccia and bread, walnut sauce, farinata, candied fruit, chocolate, etc. . .
Walking through the narrow alleys, looking up to admire beautiful facades and paintings while eating a piece of focaccia is an experience to do!!!
Genova has always been a town for commerce: since the times of Etruscans and Romans the port of this town was an emporium, where many items were coming and going (ceramics, spices, wine, cereals, fish, etc). Today we still have traces of the ancient Superb town through the survived big villas and their gardens and through the many simple products sold in the typical shops. Our walk together brings you through the narrow alleys to discover some of the old shops of Genova (groceries, pastry shops, bakeries, bars, etc…) where you can have a bite of the local life and flavours!!If you are interested there is the possibility of organizing a simple cooking class in a home location, in a restaurant or in a cooking school!!!

Francesca was extremely friendly and accommodating. The weather was not so great but that did not stop Francesca from providing excellent service. I would have missed quite a lot about Genova without Francesca's knowledge. Highly recommended.
