Perfect for Cruise Ships visiting Geelong
Chose between two fantastic tours that are perfectly suited to cruise ship passengers visiting Geelong:
* Great Ocean Road and 12 Apostles - the iconic tour that is so much easier to do from Geelong than Melbourne. Visit Bells Beach, travel the length of the Great Ocean Road built by soldiers returning from World War 1, and travel through eucalyptus rainforests to the 12 Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge. You may chose an optional helicopter flight at the 12 Apostles to wonder at the spectacular coastal scenery (please let me know so I can book for you).
* Sovereign Hill Historic Gold Rush Town - step back in time to the gold rush of the late 19th century, explore mines, pan for gold and stroll an authentic street from the gold rush era.
GREAT OCEAN ROAD & 12 APOSTLES
Visit the famous Bells Beach where the world's longest running international surf competition is held at Easter.
Then begin our exciting trip along the Great Ocean Road to Lorne and Apollo Bay.
Head inland through a eucalyptus rain forest, before we arrive at the spectacular 12 Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge.
Spend a relaxing 2 hour trip home through rolling hills and dairy farms.
Travel to Sovereign Hill, Australia's foremost outdoor museum, which re-creates Ballarat's first ten years after the discovery of gold in 1851 when thousands of international adventurers rushed to the Australian goldfields in search of fortune.
Spend the day wandering its historic streets, watch a spectacular $100, 000 gold pour, or venture underground on a fully-guided gold mine tour.
Please note that it can be cold, windy, or raining along the Great Ocean Road or at Sovereign Hill even if a good day is forecast for Geelong. Please bring additional clothing and jackets to keep warm.
