Discover the secrets of Galway with a knowledgeable local guide.
Welcome to Galway. During this amazing full day tour you will see all the most popular sights and experience the best parts of the city with a local guide.
This tour is for people who are visiting for the first time. We'll see all of the things you would see on an ordinary tour - they're certainly worthwhile. But I will also show you the special things that make Galway great.
As your private tour guide, I can adjust the schedule, duration and activities to meet your needs. Please let me know of any special requests you have.
Our day and the time we start the tour is flexible and is meant to accommodate your schedule and interests. A tour of the treasures of rural county galway would entail leaving the
City of the Tribes heading for Dunguaire castle in Kinvara,
to the round tower and history of Kilmacduagh, to Coole Park
to walk in the footsteps of the literary giants WB Yeats, Lady
Gregory, Edward Martyn, George Bernard Shaw, Oliver St Gogarty, George Russell.
After taking a break in Gort we visit Woodville Walled Garden, and then to St Brendan's Cathedral, Loughrea a show case of the Irish celtic art revival period in stained glass, wrought iron, stone carving and woodwork.
Our final stop
would be at Turoe Stone and its La Tene spirals. Back to Galway to our hotel and to enjoy the ecclectic nightlife of the city.

Our party of 5 took two tours with Paul. Both were excellent because Paul is a very informed and interesting guide who was very flexible in accommodating the varied interests of all our travelers. His extra touches such as providing poetry readings, taped music and even the experience of hitting with a hurling stick were all we could have asked for and provided great memories of Ireland. We would certainly rate Paul 5 out of 5 for both tours
