A great bonus for us was Carlos's splendid knowledge of Mexican history, which I discussed with him extensively as we drove through the city and he always provided detailed insights into each of the seminal, watershed events in that turbulent story. We enjoyed two fine lunches with him in excellent restaurants we would not have otherwise known to visit. Finally, special mention should be made of his wonderful, informative commentary during our visit to the Museum of anthropology.
