We begin with an introduction and we'll look at maps and discuss geography sitting down. Next we'll set out walking to discuss the architecture and the people that made the city in the swamp. We'll ride in a comfortable mini van up to the Garden District. Once in the Garden District we'll get out of the car to do more exploring. We can start in Lafayette Cemetery, the most beautiful cemetery, is nestled right in the Garden District. We'll go through the cemetery and understand why it is different. Please know cemetery closes at 2pm, but it is some what unpredictable. If cemetery is closed we will discuss the burial procedure outside the Lafayette Cemetery. We'll proceed walking through the streets taking in the grander of the palatial Garden District mansions.

Cassandra was very welcoming to our family. Three hours was just the right amount of time to see the sights my family was interested in including the French Quarter, Jackson Square, Pirate Alley, Armstrong park, Lafayette cemetery and the Garden District. She put in a good amount of history and had some great photos, maps, and a wonderful book to help orient us in each area. I would highly recommend Cassandra!
