A private tour through 126 years of history in Fort Lauderdale
You'll begin with a drive to the Historic District, where an Indian trail became Florida's first road. We will see how a campsite and trading post turned into a school, post office, bank and home for our city's founders, Frank and Ivy Stranahan.
After touring inside, our trail continues at Esplanade Park, and Flagler's railroad. Also, we'll see where agents watched Al Capone's men "bootlegging" whiskey onto the trains. At our next stop, we will see the "Isles of Venice", our "Venice of America".
Our journey through time shows us a WWII torpedo storage room that is now disguised as a popular restaurant. The submarines have been replaced with some of the world's largest mega-yachts!
