Food Tour in Ljubljana
You do not want just to watch and observe but taste as well?
This discovery of our local specialties while visiting the city is the right for you!
I suggest we start our tour at around noon (or later). After introducing the basics of the city we are going to start with our tasting: an appetizer is going to be served near the market area, later we will sneak in our daily market offer, pop into one of our traditional Gostilna for the warm appetizer, continue along the City Hall for the next stop-pumpkin seeds oil & Slovenian Main Dish and finish in our the oldest Gostilna in town for a local desert with a coffee or tea. There is going to be enough food & local wine to consider it as a meal. Next to that, we are going to get familiar with our main city attractions as well. A must for every food lover!
Prešeren's Square, Three Bridges, Butcher's Bridge, Dragon's Bridge, Market, Cathedral, Town Hall, Old Town, Cobbler's Bridge, National and University Library, Congress Square and restaurants along this route.

We had a fabulous afternoon with Mateja: she spent exactly the right amount of time explaining things (too much and things get boring; too little and you feel you could have done things on your own), picked lovely places to taste food, and gave us numerous tips on what to do in the time we had left in and around Ljubljana. We are very grateful for both the lovely afternoon and the tailor-made programme she suggested. In short, Mateja is the perfect guide!
