Pick up at the pier and drive to Florence (about 1 hour driving). Florence* represents the cradle of Renaissance, thanks to Medici court and their patronage which attired artists and writers, it became the central point for the cultural life during 15th and 16th centuries.
Let's start our tour from Piazzale Michelangelo where I'll show you the most beautiful panorama of the city.
We continue then with Piazza della Signoria. From this square you can't miss the Uffizi Museum designed by Vasari for Cosimo I in 1560 which represents a typically 16th century scenographic conception. If you want to visit it, please advise so I can reserve the entrance. The same if you want to visit the Academy Gallery, palace founded by the Grand Duke Peter Leopold well known museum because it hosts famous sculptures like the "David" of Michelangelo.

Massimo was a fabulous tour guide. His local knowledge was fun and insightful. It was very convenient that he was able to set up entry to view the statue of David and skip the long line. We appreciated his tips for shopping and where to find a reasonable and excellent Italian lunch. We really appreciated his taste in music. We would definitely use Masimo for our future tours in Italy. Thank you
