At the end stay for a quick lunch, which includes one pasta dish with salad and dessert. A glass of Chianti one can't be missed.
Meeting at the Oil School or my apartment
three 'professional' tastings of three different varieties of Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil (served with crackers, apple and sparkling water to 'clean' your mouth between one testing and the next) and three 'soft' tastings of Extra Virgin Olive oil on bruschetta and with fresh vegetables.
Plus if you feel adventurous you may also like to learn more and taste an 'imperfect' extra virgin olive oil.
Lunch will be served as soon as the pasta is ready

Meeting location: Either at Florence Olive Oil School - via Fra' Paolo Sarpi 5d - Florence or at my apartment Via Atto Vannucci 3 - Florence
End location: After lunch you can decide to go back to your hotel on foot or by cab. I will be happy to assist you with directions or call a cab for you

You will be tasting different varieties of olive oils and the menu will be a seasonal one
You will need a cab from your hotel to the location of the class. At the end of lunch, you will decide if you'd rather walk or again get on a cab
Lecture on olive oil, professional tasting of three different olive oils, crackers and apple + quick lunch with pasta dish, with matching sauce, rich salad, dessert. Chianti wine will be served by the glass

We highly recommend this delicious and informative experience with Silvia. We very much enjoyed learning about Olive Oil (especially after seeing the 60-minutes story on olive oil fraud) and learning how to properly taste it and cook with it. Lunch was fantastic and the conversation and time we spent with Silvia will be remembered for a very long time.
