A few years ago my family and I moved into a house a little outside of Florence, in the Chianti area, the "Wine" area!
Right after high school, I started working in the art business along with my father who has been an antiques dealer for more than 30 years. I always loved art and always wanted to work with it and I think that growing up in a city like Florence with a father that has always taught me so much about art and history inspired me a lot.
I've been working as an art dealer for six years so far, loving it, and I'm still in that field.
Thanks to that job I had the opportunity to travel a lot in my life, especially in the US where I've been many times.
I also lived one year in Miami studying the english language and a few months in New York City.
Since I always loved working with others, and most of all, the social interaction with people from different countries, I decided to throw myself in the tourist business and I became a tourist guide.
From that moment on I had wonderful experiences with so many different people from different countries.
Considering that I've been a tourist myself many times in my life and I always loved and encouraged the idea of living the place instead of just visiting it, when I do tours I try to give an intimate view of the city, doing my best to let you experience everything from a real local perspective, sharing my love for this town and having also in mind that I see most of the places we'll be going through, as my home. . the streets, my gym, my school, the bars. . where I spent my youth and my life.
So, if you are willing to explore the art, the heritage, the beauty and the life of this city with a real local by your side, let's get in touch! Francesco
A Recent Review of this guide
We were only in Florence for a portion of a day and wanted to visit the Chianti region for a wine tasting, Francesco helped create the perfect day. He is very personable and excited to share his stories and the history of the area. If we had more time, we would definitely have wanted to have spent more with him (possibly visiting Siena). If you do not see exactly what you are looking for in his tours, make sure to reach out! Francesco is very willing to customize and make your experience perfect!
