Though I was raised in the US (French schooling) I am very much a local, with a passion for history in general and Florentine history in particular. I've worked for over 20 years in the field of art, as the representative of a major auction house, then working for a publisher of art books and catalogues. Upon returning to Florence I was inevitably drawn to this profession and studied to become a certified guide. I enjoy taking small groups on walks through lesser known parts of town and on guided tours of the city's museums, churches and architectural wonders.
Among my favorite sites are some of the less frequented Museums in town and Medici villas on the outskirts, each with its own unique character and historical significance. Though I'm equally fluent in English, French and Italian, I work almost exclusively in English and French.

Great tour with Manolis. Would have never understood works of art at Uffizi without him. Perfectly customized to highlight the must see pieces. With his sense of humor he made the hours fly by. Would highly recommend him
