I realize how lucky I am, this is why I put all my enthusiasm, energy and love for Florence and Pisa into my guided tours. I try to make your day special, by sharing my knowledge about the city but also by taking you to places where locals go for a gelato, or a great trattoria to experience the authentic Tuscan food.
I really enjoy taking care of my guests and as an easy going person, I like to transform my tours into an enjoyable conversation about Florence or Pisa and the things you are most interested in, rather than a continuous monologue about the city.
I was born and raised in Romania in times when the cable TV was science fiction and the information about Western Europe was very poor as in all communist countries. At an early age, I started studying foreign languages( French and Italian) and that helped me discover the Italian art and philosophy and especially the Humanism and the Renaissance. It was the beginning of a love affair called "Tuscany". But in those times, about 20 years ago, studying abroad wasn't a piece of cake and I knew that my chances were slim. But I never gave up, I continued studying Italian art and history at university and in 2000 I won a scholarship that allowed me to continue my studies in Florence! This is where I graduated from University and after 15 years of living, studying and working here, I realized that even if my roots are not Italian, my soul belongs to Tuscany and this is now my home.
Florence and Pisa have really a lot to offer and my tours are a mix of information that varies from art and history to current issues, from gossip, legends, secrets and funny stories to traditional Tuscan food and wine, from useful tips for your stay in Tuscany to any other kind of information you might need.
I always keep in mind that the tours are about the greatest cities of Tuscany, Florence and Pisa, of course, but above all, it's YOUR tour and I do my best to offer you the kind of experience that YOU would like.
A Recent Review of this guide
My mother and I had a wonderful morning with Eliza in Florence. We enjoyed her personal touches that only a local guide can provide. She took the time to assess what was best to do with her and what we could do on our own. She helped us find a nice spot for lunch and of course, gelato. We highly recommend a tour with Eliza.
