Discover Florence and the Florentines through your palate
Traditional food and drink reveal the character of a city and its inhabitants as well as and sometimes even better than its history and gorgeous art. Let's explore the old Tuscan cuisine handed down from one generation to the next over the centuries.
We will wander in the two main markets of Florence, San Lorenzo and Sant'Ambrogio, both built at the end of the 19th century, enjoying the lively and noisy atmosphere of genuine markets frequented by city residents. Be prepared to taste our delicious cheese, prosciutto and bruschetta drizzled with local olive oil. We will proceed through the narrow alleys of the historical center and your tour will end with a visit at one of the most famous artisanal gelaterias in Florence where Ciro, the master "gelataio" or his lovely daughter, Cecilia, can include you in a gelato demonstration upon request. According to your preferences and appetite, we can stop at a winery or at an artisanal pastry workshop where the famous "cantuccini" are freshly made on site.
