The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore is a gem of Italian architecture and one of the largest churches in the world, its gigantic Dome being the main landmark in the city. The Baptistry is one of the oldest religious sites in Florence and represents nearly a millennium of history.
This tour will give the possibility to enjoy an exclusive part of the Duomo, its rooftops will be open just for you and allowing an unforgettable view of the city.
Afterwards we will visit the Baptistry and the restored Museum of the Duomo, originally the workshop used by Filippo Brunelleschi to store the materials and machinery and later the place where Michelangelo carved the David. The museum also hosts the original doors of the Baptistery by Lorenzo Ghiberti, unforgettable Renaissance masterpieces. We will see some of the machines used to build the Dome and the famous Michelangelo's second original Pietà.
