A Walking Tour of Florence for Kids...Up to Age 99
Florence, the heart of the Renaissance, presents such an enormous concentration of important art and history that the typical adult-centered walking tours and museum visits can leave kids (and plenty of adults) completely overwhelmed. This tour was specifically designed to keep kids engaged and learning about the city's rich history and some of its most important art while having fun. Kids will hear some of the Florence's most interesting facts and legends as we make our way through the heart of the city. There'll also be an extraordinary opportunity to get a feel for day-to-day life in early Renaissance Florence with a visit to the Museum of the Ancient Florentine House: Palazzo Davanzati. The tour will end with a visit to one of the city's foremost artisinal gelaterias where the long and illustrious history of gelato will accompany a demonstration of its preparation and (the most important and delicious part): a taste-test of the product!
Piazza della Signoria - with external viewing of Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery, and Loggia dei Lanzi
Loggia del Porcellino
Palazzo Davanzati (internal visit)

Estimated Local Cash Needed
30 euro - This is a PER-PERSON estimate that takes into account the entrance fee for Palazzo Davanzati, the fee for the gelato demonstration and a snack/beverage as we walk.
*Palazzo Davanzati entrance ticket price reductions may be available for children.
**On the first Sunday of every month, Palazzo Davanzati tickets are free of charge to all visitors. This increases the possibility of experiencing a waiting time to enter the museum.

Paola was a superb guide-- very informative and wonderful with our three grandchildren--ages 8, 6, and 2. A native Florentine who obviously loves her work. She made Florence come alive for our grandchildren. Would highly recommend the tour, especially if Paola was the guide.
